In INTUITIVE ARCHAISME collection the wood is worked with a gouge.
The object is a result of a repeated and methodical hammering, the passage of the tool leave traces and the structure of the wood is revealed. In contrast to traditional manufacturing process, where the object is drawn up in advance of manufacture, on the basis of a plan. Here it is the collaboration between gesture, tool and material that gives shape. The sculptural process involves a particular kind of listening. We feel the material, we listen to it, we position the tools so that each one makes a unique contribution. The individuation of the object, the transition from material to functional object, takes place as the sculpture progresses.
The time spent creating the surface of a stool gives it a certain energy that builds up and freezes the form in a defined space and time. It could have been different if the stool had been made on another day. It is not the mind that gives shape by imposing a constraint by a predefine shape, it is the material that the sculptural process reveals its own unique identity. The tool becomes a mediator of individuation between the material, which reveals its history through its filamentary structure, and I, who let the hammer blows on the tool extract my emotions and smooth my body and mind.
To enhance a sensitive relationship, the raw surface is marked by pastel colours, anchored in a collective identification as soft and appealing to dreams allowing a softer interaction with the object, our neural endings and with the eath.

The gouge traces are a reminiscent of the flint knapping of an ancient time as a kind of necessary call from the earth, for a return to simple things, to feel the ground, be in less media connected moment but with real people.
